lol., yup. i blew the upper ring at the finish on moto 2.
man, last night i showed up not even knowing where to go. i went to torkits and he said i had to go to curts, i i made the switch over to there. then we all did a 2 lap parade for our fellow moto rider, jeremy lusk. it was a parade of 2 laps to show our respects to a fallen, but not at all forgotten hero amoungst us.
when we started moto, i was going to give it my all last night. at the drop of the gate, i had a pretty good jump. going around the second corner, i was abruptly landed on and it sent me back. i loved it cuz i knew that i had 7 and 3/4 laps to catch up for a podium. i went to work fast. i caught up to curt who was having trouble with bike setup. i think he might have used mudd tires when he should have used the 756rr's. lol.
i worked around him, but not easily at all. he fought hard for that spot and did let it go. then i got up to gytr. heres a guy thats like mike larocco. he has eveerygood line in his pocket and was just relentless in giving an inch. then he made a mistake and i was able to get a sneak by. then, hilly was next. but when i got him in sight, he went over a turn or something and went down. i took advantage and ran with it. next was brian64. holy smokes, he was on it bigtime. i applied the pressure to the best i could and he never cracked. but when i got next to him, i somehow got the boost as if i was on untamed for the newr systems. i was ale to get by. but then i heard him crash so i hope the lag didnt take part in that and have it where i put him down. sloey was 3 seconds ahead at lap3. all the way to the finishline i was trying ever so hard, getting so thumb-pumped up just hammering the throttle. it was great cuz one lap i closed in about .5 then the next lap he got it back. at the finish, he was 2.75 ahead of me. w even had the same best lap time. great racing man.
moto 2(i know, thats alot of info up there for one moto) was he same start, but this time, i was right behind sloey with hilly in toe behind me sneaking a wheel in on me with that 500 harsepower grunting outta the insides. it was nerv wrecking for sure. then hilly fell back and curt mounted a great charge to the fron of the pack immediately. he was right behind sloey and i at the beginning of lap 3. i was on sloey and behind him around.8 of a second. then going through the whoops around the castle, i got a great run and got right next to him. we went bar to bar through there with our names not even knowing where to place themselves. for 4 seconds, it was side by side at its best. then going around the right hander, we were locking bars and i think when we jumped, his hand guard must have pulled my brake lever and i went over the bars. it was awesome to battle so close though. from there curt was on me like frosting on cupcakes. i had to get out from under his coverage. it was getting tight!!! i managed to hold him off then on the final lap, i saw the white flag waving and didnt even pay attention to the laps. i was 4 seconds back. i had to push hard o it was hopeless!!
i re=adjusted my grip on the throttle so i would be pinned all the time. it seemed to work, i was gaing evr so slightly on sloe. just inching up on him. gaining gaining gaining, and then i was too late. at the finish, i pulled a 55.97 lap and was only 2 seconds behind the winner. he rode flwaless in both motos and it paid off bigtime for him.
great job everyone. it was a tuff room for sure on a track where mistakes are key to winning. i made too manyy and it cost me my overall.
