Here is a place where you can post and compare different bike setups, and speak your mind on what you think is best ;D So, way back in January before my PS3 bit the dust... this is the setup that I was running: 1. I ran this setup for all of the 450's, no matter what brand. Once all of the bikes are fully modded, you can get the same number of squares on each one. With the exception of the KTM that offers 1 or 2 more boxes. 2. I also kept this setup the same for MX and SX, I didn't want to have all of the "unknowns" with changing the setting for each track, or getting used to one type of setup and then having to adapt to a completely different setup. I found that it is better to be consistent than to have the "fastest" bike. They always say, "It's the rider, not the bike." ;D 3. Though setup is subjective, I tested for countless hours dialing the bike down to what I was comfortable with, and what I felt had the best "balanced" feel that was going to yeild the most results. Obveously this is pretty outdated, but whenever I get my PS3 up and runnin, this is what I'll be on ;D

OK Mike, I got a few set ups. But mine are different than yours. I use more accel and stiff suspension. I guess it fits my riding style. I have so much R&D in this stuff, almost one year now. I told Krazee the other night I would tell him my settings for fifty bucks. lol

Yeah, my setups are normally different than everyone elses. Like when I compared my bike setups to Cory's or Pro's back in the Untamed days, they ran full hard suspension, and I ran full soft.
It deff. comes down to personal prefference, because I can't go fast for the life of me with hard suspension.
Tork, essentially your settings are the same as mine. You compensate jump distance with hard suspension and less speed, I compensate with soft suspension and more speed ;D
It does come down to personal prefference. I feel more comfortable and more in control with soft suspension, and I am sure if someone who likes hard suspension were to try to run soft suspension, they might not like it.
All that matters is that I can / could go fast with my setup ;D

i run my topspeed all the way up, suspension set even and tires all the way sticky. this setting works good for me but by lap 4 or 5 no settings work for me. what would work for me is to have less track deformation. i guess they forgot that there are some blue groove and hardpack tracks.

Real national tracks after two 30 min moto's plus two laps for the Lites and 450's don't get tore up as bad as a reflex track after 5 laps!

,yea i agree mike, it is alot to do with personal pref. i tested and tested and came up with differents setups for sx and mx, i told a friend of mine my set up and he hated it lol..but heres mine, i only ride the yamaha ...for sx- 13 total boxes on accel , 13 total boxes on hard suspension and 13 total bars on sticky.....i go up one box on accel and hard susp on really tight tracks like SP 2 and Boxcar...........for MX i pretty much reverse the settings except leaving my tires to 13 total boxes on sticky, then 12 (max out) boxes on top speed and 13 boxes on soft suspension.......this is what i always fall back too..i will try something different every now and again but i always come back to these settings. Like sometimes ill forget to switch when going from mx to sx and i notice it within the first half a lap... i will say i do better in mx with my sx setting than vise versa (when i forget to switch them), the the handling is ok , but the bike is slower.. but again i think it alot of personal preference and whatever you get used too. i talk to alot of ppl that run the same setting for mx and sx , i just couldnt do it, ive tried running everything even and just about every other combo you could think of lol... be glad to see you on the game again when you get back mike.. not sure if you will have the same screen name or not but if not add me bud x--647--x.

Sweet 647 ;D I never bothered trying to change my settings for SX. Though my bike was deffinatly setup for MX, I found that for the most part I could win SX with the same settings, not as consistent and not as often as MX, but I don't really like SX on video games LoL. Though there are some tracks that I recal that more accel deff would have been a possitive.
I will deffinatly try to get a 2nd / SX setup with more acceleration and maybe some stiffer suspension, but not much. I guess I just like sticking to one setting like I did on Untamed ;D
I will be runnin the same name on PS3, so I look foward to racing with you guys within the next 2 months(?). Anyone care to tell me how many months it's been since my last log-in? Just curious.

Okay, here's my "usual" setup. One box more on speed, one box more on soft (less arrows on soft but better corners on stiff), and all sticky no matter what bike. But to be perfectly honest I like running stock bikes. Especially that pos yamaha 125. Lol. Jk. But I really do prefer stocks right now. More of a challenge to practice staying smooth and precise. WOOOT WOOOT! That's for all my pro circuit boys. Lol

I have tried several different bikes so far and have tried multiple set ups and i always keep finding myself going back to my KTM 450. For me i seem to get the best of all worlds out of it. It handles the corners pretty solid especially at high speeds and has lots of ooomph ... atleast it feels like it to me. I run my acceleration high alongside my sticky.
