I didn't get to watch the race yet, hoping to catch it on You Tube in the next day or two. I did watch the Live By Wire feed and was stoked to see Dungey on the podium. A healthy Reed, Villopoto and Dungey are going to spell disaster for Bubba in his title hopes. Those three are absolutely the most consistent riders on the track. Bubba is just too sporadic to take the title away from one of these three. He may win a race or two, but he'll never get another title. Brayton looked great. He's a guy that really needed some good factory support to get to the next level. Now he has it and I expect he'll have a great 2012. What happened to the New Goat Wilson?

Last night was amazing! What a night of racing from the heats to the lcqs to the mains. Best A1 I've ever been to. So stoked for Seely and Tomac. They're going to be sick this year. If it wasn't for the 3 way battle for 2nd in the SX class it would've been a boring pull away win for RV1. Bubba looked weak out there. It was fantastic getting to see the other 3 legit out race him. Even when RD5 got passed up he still fought back and made a move. They aren't afraid of Bubba anymore. Bubba is in for even more hurt once Canard is back.

Also, last night's crowd was definitely on the Two Two Motorsports' side. Hes won the fans over without a doubt. Stewart on the other hand was showered with boos all night. Just an amazing night of racing.

Dude, I guarantee that stewart screws up big this year! He will not WILL NOT get his goals any longer. If that yamaha was better then L&M's, then he should've rode better. He was faster in 2009! I think this next track will be a much better battle between everyone! The soil is slick from dryness, and it will be a much better "SX" style course.

I have a confession. I've been talkin' sh*t on Stewart quite a bit. The main reason is I know what he is capable of and have been somewhat disappointed (as I'm sure he is) with his results since getting on that "backwards" YZ450. In all honesty, I would love to see him on the top of the podium. We all know he is capable of it. JGR would be wise to dig up James' 2009 Yz450 and throw some new graphics on it. He would be unstoppable. That latest gen Yz450 is a basket case. This is a sick looking sled:

He looked out of shape towards the end. I think he will have to race himself into shape. RV is going to rub Aldon Baker in Stewart's face this season.

I'm all about the under dog. Right now James is just that (if you can call anyone in the SX class main an underdog). I'm hoping for a brutal block pass by #7 on RV2 in Phoenix.

I like an underdog too. I loved watching that Dungey vs Stewart battle though. Stewart brings a ton of hype, excitement, and entertainment to the sport. I love BuBBles, but I am ready for Dungey to lay the smack down.

www.racerxonline.com/2012/01/09/stewart-on-dunlops-at-anaheim I agree Jimbo, I think Stewart should go back to his set up in 2009 - TOO much change is a bad thing. McGrath ran the same tires, throughout his career, and stuck with the same engine, even though Honda didn't want him to. I believe he had a 1993 CR250 engine in his 1996 CR250. This year, I think Stewart changed too much: team, engine, suspension, and tires. Though, I think we all know we will eventually see some W's from him, this is not going to be a dominating year he probably would've liked to had. Though, it is a long season, and there are still 15 more races, so anything can change. Eventually, he will have that bike tuned in, he has J-bone, and a 3 year SX and MX contract. He hasn't raced in 8 months, so I would agree that he is not used to "race pace." On another note, I remember watching a YouTube interview with Josh Grant, and they asked him if he had any other offers, and why he picked Jeff Ward Racing. Grant stated that he had an offer to ride for L&Mc on a full factory Honda, but as a "second" rider to Andrew Short. Meaning, Short was their #1 guy. Grant stated that he turned it down because he didn't want to be second to someone he knew he could go out and beat every weekend. Heat 2 1. J. Stewart 2. R. Dungey 3. A. Short4. J. Weimer 5. I. Hahn Maybe not the best decision... since Grant's times were a full second slower than Shorts... Your repeat 2012 SX East Lites champ. Justin Barcia. Watch 3:30-3:50 to see why. You notice how he couldn't catch the guy in front of him? Even skipped the whoops to try to catch up ;D

Grant is a joke. I saw the Kawi try to high side him exiting the huckabucks.
Ya Barcia went around the whoops on his first lap, he was just cruising. No one was touching him after he got familiar with that track. Violent scrubs FTW.
