I downloaded the demo version... I think it is good, I don't think it is a SIMULATOR though... I don't like that you have to start leaning the direction you want to turn halfway before you get to the turn, nor do I like that the brakes don't work for jack... and you slide off the track. I know I'm a noob, but it should be a little bit more realistic.
I turned "arcade" mode off and couldn't quit doing donuts for the life of me... so I am sticking with "arcade" for now. I have no earthly idea what all of the "settings" mean... but oh well.
I have read that people can play the game with their PS3 controller... but I don't know how... any tips? ;D

I can help you with both. (this is how I did it myself) Try turning arcade off and starting at 75% stability. Then do rides not races around rabbit hill. Focus on staying up, not showing off and going fast. after your completely used to 75% switch it to 50% and so on down to where you want to go. Also playing the demo online helps tons. Go to this link: news.filefront.com/how-to-use-a-ps3-controller-on-a-pc/Download the drivers and follow the instructions. It is a little difficult at first but you will get it. I'll be back with more of a description after school. (or at school I don't know whats blocked anymore)

Ok, after you download and install the drivers, plug your ps3 controller in to the computer via USB cord (make sure your ps3 has the power switch turned off, if it's on then if the controller accidently disconnects from the cord then you have to go turn the ps3 off which is super frustrating in the middle of an online race) after it is connected, double click the driver and a black window will appear for a split second. Sometimes longer. But while that black window is up hit the PS button and the controller will connect to the computer. This is the only way to do it. if it becomes disconnected you must reconnect it that way. It may take a few tries. You can check to see if it is connected by going to control panel > gaming controllers then click on properties. If it is not connected then you will have to try again.

Hey Mxer721... I have tried EVERYTHING to get my PS3 controller to work... and I can't get it to work for the life of me. I've done everything step by set like it says... I've even looked up How To video's on youtube and have done everything step by step according to the video.
The black box come's up temporarily, but dissapears very quick. The control panel says that my PS3 controller is "OK" but when I do the "test" deal, none of the buttons work. I downloaded and uninstalled the program many times, nothing works...
Also, is it faster to race on simulation physics? I can get a 1:15 with arcade physics on the track that starts with an "E" - the only other one that there is besides rabbit hill.
I guess I am not being patient... on 75 stability, I can stay up for a little while, even go through some turns... God forbidd you use the rear break! That is a garunteed indo. I use the front brake mostly...
Also when you get going up to any kind of speed the front handlebars start to shake, and I'll usually lose control of the bike...
Maybe I am just not patient enough...?

Is your computer a 64-bit? If so, then they don't make drivers for it. I had to buy a Logitech controller because I got a 64-bit computer. The track is one we call "x1b" much easier than saying "Eskwannabe" and they sound the same. Using sim is a must, using arcade is highly frowned upon online so i suggest you keep on. What I did is I didn't do x1b at all until I could do a full 5 lap race on Rabbit without crashing. X1b is a fun track but for learning its not the right one. Learn how to corner and stay up before you go to that track. I still play x1b just because no matter how good you are you can push yourself and find new things.
PS - the rcord for x1b I'm pretty sure is a 1:02. with sim you can push the bike just so much better. Also make sure your braking torque is all the way up and use anti lock on both front and rear.

I have the front brake on anti lock, but not the rear... this might be my problem when trying to use the rear brake ;D I guess I need to keep pushing on - Since my PS3 is broke I came across some pretty sweet youtube video's of people racing with Mx SIm and it made me want to get the demo - It is starting to grow on me, I am not sure how much the full version is though... I found a free version of the "full" mx simulator at: fullrshare.com/download/mx+simulator+full+version+for+free.htmlI have not downloaded it yet... simply because I am not sure if I trust the web site or not - and it SUCKS getting viruses... Thanks for the tips ;D

It took me about an hour of consistent testing to get it to work. I just had to make sure I hit the PS button the instant that black window pops up. I'm pretty sure when you reinstalled the program that reset it. But anyways that's how I did it.
It is much faster on sim physics. On x1b I have the record, its 101.7 but I can go faster still... and make sure you have your rear brake set to antilock. If its set to normal then it will just slide lol. If you are losing control of your handlebars so easily try leaning back.

I wouldn't bother with that torrent. To get online everyone has a certain key, and because its such a small game he makes one for you when you buy it, so that torrent is really useless. I don't have a Windows 7 so I don't know how the menu's are in it so I can't help you find what bit type it is. If Vista is the same though then I can help you.

oh ok, thanks Puma. Windows 7 is almost identicle as far as features go - they just added different ways to get to them. If that makes any sense?
I suck playing with the Key board... sounds like this game is going to require more time that I am able to dedicate to it. I like all of the YouTube video's and the Demo... maybe one day I will be able to get into it ;D

For me go to Control Panel<System then under System Type it should say 32-bit OS or 4-bit OS.
I played with keyboard at first then I figured out you could use a controller so I did that, tried keyboard again and can't do it at all. I couldn't even dream playing without my controller now.
