well. idk if this is your problem jim. but personally i think to take this game to the next level pace u gotta use the reflex more than just avoid using it. like for example i remember when it came out everyone was saying just dont use it any and its better, but i was using it and just getting use to it and now id like to think im pretty fast from it and only gettin faster with more potential than avoiding it. my 2 cents

I have been using the Reflex stick everywhere. The problem is when I come into a turn, I use the relfex stick, hit a stutter bump and the bike pitches like I'm trying to pull a whip off a triple. The other thing I find is when I come into a corner using reflex my rear end breaks loose or I spin completely around. Then it's like I've got an ancor tied to my ass trying to get going again. Not sure what to do...

Hey Jim try adding some sticky on your tire set up.
Everyone, check out this video that MX721 made.

hey jim, try this bro. for those turns i bet your holding both analogs in the same direction, if you do this you will break traction, try letting off the gas so the bike will turn more cause if your pinned the bike will push and go through the turn. also i go the opposite direction with my reflex to weigh the rear tire for traction, if im turning to the left i will pull back and right with the reflex stick. its a fine line, just play with it. im no master of this but its helped me.

You're right Sloey, I am steering both sticks in the same direction. Thanks for the tip. Also, after having talked with Doc last night, I think my bike set up is all wacked. I have by bike set all the way to acceleration, tires all the way to slippery, and suspension all the way to soft. It just seems like the bikes are so sluggish, so I'm trying to get a little boost. But like a bicycle, I guess it's momentum that is key, not boost.
I'll camp out on it tonight... thanks for tha advice. You too Torkit!

i run more top speed than i do acceleration cause once you get a little rythmn going your already up to speed so accel doesnt really help, i would come up short alot until i changed my motor to more top speed. i also like my suspension to be a little on the soft side, seems to track better to me on the rough stuff and there are alot of rough spots out there by lap 3 or 4. i havent really fooled with the tire thingy yet so i have no advice. hope some of this helps jim, if not im pretty sure hilly has some input on the subject. lol just pullin your chains hilly.

hey jim, i dont know if your tips previous to this help you or not, but if you like, heres my tips
1- only lean inward on supercross and the really tight turns on outdoors. 2- on most corners outdoors, lean outside and turn in. like sloey said, weight, the outside. 3- practice the rythum sections and getting your speed back up from a dead stop or as if you messed up between jumps. (example; when you are hitting a section of jumps like there whoops, practice on the pitch of leaning forward or back as necassary to try to get some momentum built back up again. its faster to double through a section vs facing the front of every jump.) 4- like you said yourself my friend, its all about the momentum. rail every corner with berms. then when you got those down pretty good, the flat inside corners will be easier to pick up on.
these are just my 2 cents. good luck. i think the other people said alot of what i said too so maybe im preaching to the chior. lol.
wish i was out there with you fellas.

Thanks for the help my friend. I put a few of the tips, Hilly, Sloey, Torkit, Doc my buddy Zack and you gave me. I'm happy to say I'm back! Another thing that I've noticed about this game as opposed to previous Mx vs Atv games is that you don't want to go "balls out" everywhere. This game is much more about timing rather than sheer speed. Some more advice I'm using for his game and maybe some for you all is... "Slow down to learn to go faster." hey jim, ...i tried to do very little movement. again, hope it helps. oh, and i got a podium with a 125 in a full room.... again. lol. I got on last night for a few with Kawis and Curt. It was the first time I felt like I was racing instead of trying not to crash. Thanks for all the help guys. It's quite a transition from Pure and Untamed. It's actually a bit like DiRT in that you need to use throttle control and timing. On Pure and Untamed (as well as Unleashed) you never let off the throttle. You can't play like that on Reflex (at least I can't yet).

well. feel kinda dumb for askin this. butttt. why not. how are you fast guys runnin ur bike? if ur not fast dont answer. lol not to be a d*ck. but if ur slow why would i want ur settings?? so anyway? any help.. just yesterday i finally started messin with the settings alot. before i had my acceleration almost all the way up. and top speed only had 5 bars. but i switched it to where top speed had like 10 notches and accel like 8 i think. somethin like that. and i think i like it a little more. jumps are alot easier to clear.. thats forsure. i didnt think the top speed made to much of a difference...looks like it does. for me
