yea we had a great time racing. i must admit to my faults though. at boxcar, i had a really shaky run through the end of the whoops off the start and took out jlm. knowing that it was all my fault, i pulled aside and let my boy jlm50k cruise on by because i will not willingly take a spot like that. although, he soon made a mistake and i got by cleanly. but i had a terrific battle trying to catch the leader for the first 5 laps with kawis on my ass. on the first optional rythum section, i miss timed it and kawis went up the inside of me around the first off camber turn. for some reason, it took him down. not really sure why, but i will admit that it wasnt right.
when i caught up to brian64, i somehow scrubbed right underneath him (hope i didnt make you crash) and went from 4th to first on the only triple in the track. it was freaking sweet, but really weird too!! then curtb825 and i had a great cat-n-mouse race from there. luckily, i had a break at the last section with curt going over the berm or going down or something. felt grea to get a moto win again.
then came pine top!! great, an outdoor track! although its one i really enjoy, its still an outdoor track. which means i dont really set the world on fire in my mind when i ride these things. i had a so so start and after some bar banging with i think everyone (sorry), i was dead last and 7 seconds behind on turn 3. so, it was time to go to work and save what i can. unfortunalty, i couldnt capitalize on curt and he got me for that overall spot. dammit!! lol. but great racing by all that i came across during the motos. in the pre moto at fort dodge 1, gytr and i had a sweet battle all te way too the finish. i cant remember now who won, but they rode pretty solid too. but gytr and i had a very intense race. like stewart and reed at atlanta!! and in fact, he cut inside of me at the finishline to edge me out sooo slightly. i couldnt even be mad because it was sooo perfectly executed!! great job gytr.
had fun with everyone!! now, im going to see if anyone is still racing. hope to see you guys online!!!

Anyone ever think about all those good races on all the different games? Who misses TWT? I remember beating the best of the best on several occasions. Longest TWT win streak of 7 weeks. What are yalls best TWT memories? I recall a epic 12 rider gate race a Stonepoint 1. The whole crew showed up. Then we had two rooms for a long time on Unleashed and Reflex. Those were alot of fun too.

Oh man those were the days doing the dual rooms on each game/ system. I miss those. I remember not a specific race entirely, but just sooo many flashes of close battles, falling down by collision with others, or getting bunted off the course from another guy. All are so fun. I'm glad I got some videos posted of it all. Good memories.
I wish unleashed was available on smart phones for online play. I mean, our newer phones are twice as capable as the playstation 2. Lol. Maybe one day.

i remember when unleashed first came out and you guys were doing online tournaments and at that time they were huge tournaments. i did not have the internet nor a ps2 so i would drive 40 miles to my friends house which was BADD55 and played using his profile, i sucked but it was sooo much fun racing against fast ass people. i remember some of the names too: TAKENOTES, FAST KELLEY, 37, these guys were so fast i thought they were cheating but they were not, i was just slow. i also remember doing a series with you guys where we raced 3 different tracks and combined all the times for an average and i beat dirt by like a second and i was on a 250 also. alot of fun times with you guys thats for sure.

Tork,
Online racing changed my life. I have so many fond memories (way too many to mention). What sticks out in my mind is Jimbo and his Red Dress. The time DiRT beat SXCORY at Charleston (or at least I remember it being that way), the team practices with Team <TX>. Epic battles with Hilly517. The first time I ever beat <TX>Torkit, and my first ever "A Main" (where I got lapped by everyone).
Though I think nothing stands out to me more than the first time I ever played MVA Unleashed online. It was the first game I had ever played online, and I didn't have internet at the time. So I had asked a buddy from work (who lived 30 min away from me) if I could come over to his house and use his internet.
Much like Sloey, I remember my race I thought everyone was cheating... because needless to say, I thought I was the fastest person in the world prior to my first online race. Then I raced people online and got beat bad, I mean really bad.
I also remember racing SXCORY that night as well, he had FactoryHonda in his name at the time, and I remember thinking that maybe there were actual paid professional video game players. He came into the room I was in for 1 race and then left. That race was New Orleans, where he lapped me in a 5 lap race. When he lapped me, he did something I had never seen before (nor could I do). The start straight had a bridge, and in the following laps you had to go under the start straight bridge. When SXCORY lapped me, he jumped all the way on top of that bridge, and then rode across it and hopped down. I couldn't believe my eyes.
At that point, I was hooked! It would be another few weeks before I was able to go over to my buddies house and play online again. That night I was in a room with Jimshorts and Yamahaulin. We raced for a few hours, and then Jimshorts invited me to MXVGFORUMS.COM. My life was never the same after that point.
I will say that I miss those times. I have a handful of races that I can remember very well, all the way from Unleashed, to Alive. ;D

I would drink to that, but tomorrow I go back to elsinore to ride. I'm extremely excited.
Great write up Mikey. Great times. I remember I didn't get anything online until like 2007 or something. It was crazy. I mean, I was just like Mikey and then I was quickly put in check. Lol. Supercross was always my focus on it until online. Then it was just my strong suit, but still I liked the precision of tracks.
Some of my favorite episodes playing were the team practices with Gytr and Manny. We usually had others, but always try us 3 to be on at least.
Dam, I think imma get it out and play again.... Yup, doing it right now. Lol.
