Dungey the badass won his heat on the pumpkim. lmao. My night is going great! That's the news I was looking for. Better get used to seeing orange on he top of the podium. It's time for the Truffle Shuffle! RV can truffle shuffle his way to the bank. RVBeBallin

Man what a race! No offense to anyone that isn't a fan of RV1, but that dude is running away with the title in 2012 if he stays up on both wheels. Dungey looked like a lapped rider in comparison. Granted its only been a week of seat time for RD5, but it looks like it may have been a bad decision going to the Orange bikes.

Also, as gnarly as that track probably looked on TV, I must say it was even crazier in person. I have never seen a track like this before. That sand whoop section coming back into the stadium was sick.

I love the MEC race. The amatuer racing was great. I really enjoyed watching this event. RV is the fastest man on the planet.
My highlight was watching K Dub take out Vince Freise. That was a veteran move.

Totally agree! It was a fantastic event! Loved that we saw those amateurs too. Great addition. Maybe next year we can even have a womens class!? But rv1 was not taking anything but a first! Also, I think imma have to disagree there cory. I think dungeys move was a great one. He was still second fastest overall, and that's a great result for his first race (night) on the katoom. They really don't have time to make any geometry adjustments of any kind between mains, so he kinda had to just stick with his setup from the first main to the last.... but I guess he still could do clickers. I think that it showed that ktm has no lack of power in anyway, and can be competitive! Dungeys has seen rv1s intensity first hand, and reed, stewart, and canard didn't get too. I was also super pumped with metcalfe's performance, and ben townley's. Bummer for bt101. But both were riding superb! Alessi, I think may have been better had he not ruined himself in practice, but then again, maybe he would've done it qualifying or something. He really didn't ride like he should've for someone looking to get help for next year. Tickle did bout what I expected. Bet he gets only a lil better results through 2012. But solid performance for sure. And windhams take out.... PRICELESS!!! Yes, I did keep rewinding it to watch it over n over. Loved it. But then he never past blose for a chance at a qualifying spot. Kinda disapointed bout that. He didn't ride aggressively at all really! I mean, attacking the track that is, he sure hated on freise though. Lol. Musquin was pretty good too. I gotta say though, I think davalos was my biggest suprise. Great finish with 4th overall!!! That's pretty dam good. Hoping for great results for md23 next year. He needs it badley.
Okay, I like rambling. Get over it! I mean, what else we gonna do for 3 months?? Hahhahaha

Wow.... I wrote all that?? And that was with me cell phone! Lol LoL That's what I think after I post one of my post! LoL I guess I've rubbed off on you Monster Cup was awesome! RV has a sick riding style. Dungey rode really well for the amount of time that he had on a foreign bike... in an interview, Jim Holly asked him what they had to work on with the bike, and he said "everything" LoL But I guarantee you, a different Ryan Dungey will show up to A1, he is not the type of rider that is just going to sit back and not do any testing. He (and the team) are going to work their but off to get that bike to his likings. DeCoster has produced a winning team out of every single team he has been on... just give it time JS7 is going to have his work cut out for him if RV keeps riding like he is riding. Apparently, Reed has not decided which bike he is going to ride for the 2012 season. I think Reed may try to re-produce his success formula that he had with Suzuki a few years ago, and now Mike Gosslar is his mechanic... so we'll see. Looks like JS7 is going to stick with the Yamaha and be with Joe Gibbs, cause he doesn't have San Manuel as a team sponsor anymore. Though he still hasn't officially picked between the Suzuki and the Yamaha. Townley impressed me, I didn't think he was going to be that good, after such a long brake... but I guess him and Pro Circuit get along well... it is the bike and team that he has had the most success with. It was a bummer for K-Dub... he was not having a good night. I was looking at that dude that was in front of K-Dub messin with him... ran him wide three times... and almost made K-Dub go into the tough blocks down a straight rhythm section before the U-turn in the stands... I could tell K-Dub was gettin ticked back there... I was so PUMPED when he parked that dude! Alessi... I feel for him, I mean it must be a bummer to be a top 5 rider, and not have a ride... and to come back from missing two races. His dad is going to be the end of him... Toni has defeated his son's mentality. Alessi shows a lack of confidence, and you can tell that as soon as someone passes him, he is "defeated" and starts going backwards. Though riding a wide track when Dungey was trying to get passed him, after a DNF the second moto did not make Alessi look all that good from a spectator's view point. I will have to watch that race a few more times... since there is a 10 week brake... GOOD Racin though ;D It's amazing how much of an equalizer it is for there not to be any whoops - AMA can learn a thing or two from this race! ;D

I am a KTM fan, but I'm also realistic. I would have been stoked to see ol' Dungey on the top of that podium, but considering how fresh the bike is to him I didn't expect it. The fact that he pulled off second overall was outstanding. Rv2 was flawless, I can't take that away from him. But, we haven't even scratched the surface of the Roger/Dungey/Ktm team yet.
On a side note, we were missing a few of the BIG DOGs. Maybe the noteriety the MEC received this year will improve the turnout for next years event.

With the way Kdub's pictures looked in practice I thought he was going to be up in the mix. I was a little disappointed, but he gets respect for showing up and never giving up.

I think Dungey looked good on the KTM not much different then the SUZ a little bit but he has a while to get it set up better. RV2 just been riding great lately.Every Since RV got that 2012 KX450 he pretty much been the guy to beat and his confidences level that high I think Dungey rode great stay within about 10 sec every race on every moto. Wasn't RV times 1-2 seconds quicker then Dungey at the last couple nats when Dungey was on Suz not much difference on KTM right now.
