Guess who is on staff with Suzuki, and is the Assistent Team Manager? Ricky Carmichael. I think this is a good switch for JS7, and he is back on Dunlops! ;D

JS7 grew up not having factory support, or really any other type of support for that matter. Critisized for being black, tracks telling him and his dad that "their kind" weren't welcomed there.
And now, instead of sitting out of the nationals, and collecting a big fat check, then leaving the JGR, he has taken a (rumored) few million dollar pay cut to ride a bike he believes he can win on.
I think if anything, he has more desire to win than most people, and has definitely payed his dues, and is still paying them judging by all the racist remarks you hear at the races, and see on the message boards.
Love him or hate him, he makes racing exciting! ;D

JS7 Podcast www.pulpmx.com/moto_show/archives/podcasts/2012-pulpmxshow-stewart.mp3JS7 is racing this summer for free. His contract with Factory Suzuki does not start until 2013. Suzuki is just providing him the bike and the team. JS7 is going out to race because he wants to. He was very realistic too, says he is shooting for top 5 right now, and then wants to build from there. Doesn't think he can go out and win right off the bat. Gave RD5 huge props, and said that he is going to the be the toughest competitor out there. No bad feelings between him and JGR, over all it is a great interview ;D

I listen to a bit of it last night. Way to long for me. Blah blah blah.
I saw your post on Racer X about MC's wife. You did good Mike.

;D Thanks Tork! ;D My heart goes out to cancer victims, they have a special place in my heart (not to sound all sappy).
Throughout my college career I have done countless research papers, and have taken some good classes, and have gone and listened to some well educated people about their research and findings. "Cancer" has been my topic of choice when it has come to me doing research papers. I recently gave a 15 min. presentation in my Human Disease class about cancer.
I know this may seem off to some (and I know I am probably crossing the "not supposed to share personal life here" line), though I do believe that there is a cure for cancer, outside of having to go through the painful cancer treatments that are being practiced today by hospitals.
In short: Exposure to radiation can cause death, drugs can cause death, and the bio hazard poison called chemo can cause death. Cancer can also cause death, so why are we treating a disease that can cause death with methods that have been known to surely cause death? "Death" cannot cure "death."
Anyways, I figured that if MC so happens to see the post that it will give him the option to formulate his own opinions, and past there is a decision that only him and his family can make. In relation to RacerX post, I share because I care.
On a side note: I think that Stewart interview was awesome, I believe he is being the most honest he has ever been, I also believe that he is being extremely humble about the whole deal as well.
His contract does not start with Suzuki until 2013, right now he is a free agent and is going to race the nationals for free in order to help give himself a better shot at being a championship contender for 2013. I have much respect for him that he is not just saying that he is going to go out and win everything, in fact he believes that he is only at best a top 5 guy right now, and that Dungey is the man to beat.
I just think that over the years Stewart has let a lot of people down, his fans, people who aren't his fans, and himself included. So it is nice to see that he has a passion for the sport again, and that he is not all about the money. It is nice to see that he is being realistic, and that he is doing things to be able to give himself the best opportunity.
I think this year will be good for Stewart. I don't think that he is going to win the Championship, I still think that Dungey is going to win it, though I think that Stewart will give us some exciting racing and some good battles as he has done in the past. Furthermore, I believe that he is helping make the nationals exciting for this year, instead of it being a Dungey run away (though it still has the potential too, even though Stewart is going to be there).
Anyways, that is my two cents. Hopefully the Nationals will give us something to talk about on here, so that MXVG will have some life in it again. I am planning on playing Alive after my last Final Exam this week. I played for about an hour two weeks ago, and it was embarrassing. Need to race my way back into "shape" lol.
So I hope to see some of you guys on over the summer ;D
