Yeah they kinda did I guess but what is up with all the Sony hate and everyone trying to ruin them. That Anonymous hack group already once the PSN is back they are going attack all of sony sites. All this just because Sony tires to sue one hacker.
Atleast they are taking time to get it right this time with alot of extra security. Looks like there will be a firmware update when it come back on to make everyone change their password to.

Hackers are geniuses; to be able to have the ability to do what they do on a computer is astonishing. I’ve tried being “tech” savvy in the past, with little to no success. I just ended up with countless hours wasted, and no more success at “hacking” into a locked WiFi network (with the intent of getting online with my PS3 for online enjoyment) than without having tried. To be able to hack into a network, database, or any type of security system that has a team of computer programmers working for them is just amazing. With that said, I do not respect them at all. Hackers cost companies millions upon millions. I know a guy that is in computer security business, gets big dollar contracts by companies that hire him to try to hack into their companies network (in order for them to find the “week” areas that they need to strengthen) Most people think that they are a big company, and make all that money, so why does it matter? Well companies are in business to make money. So what happens when you have a whole bunch of really smart people that hack into systems for the “heck” of it? It costs us (you and me) money. Sony is losing millions due to this hack due to the the loss of game sales, and other PSN store purchases that could be made if their network was up. Also, they are having to pay people to upgrade their systems, and pay for new security devises to try to prevent a hack in the future. This is the type of stuff that not only cost Sony money, but also the game developers who are not being able to sell their product through the PSN store. This also turns away potential PS3 buyers away, thus overall hurting “us.” Is this going to bring Sony to their “knees?” No, not even close. Is Sony still going to make millions of dollars a year worldwide? You bet. So are the hackers hurting Sony, or are they hurting the millions of PSN users that do not have access to the network right now? Are the hackers hurting Sony, or are they potentially making it more difficult for a game developer to make money. So what happens when Sony and game developers are losing money? They raise prices, because like I said they are in business to make money. This is the kind of stuff that will eventually encourage Sony to have a “members” only Network, or “Private” network… I.E. The type of stuff that will end up encouraging Sony to charge for online game play, and game developers raising prices of games. I do not have the net right now, so it is not effecting me directly, but I do not like the idea that someone out there now has my PSN username and password along with my e-mail, and my credit card number (all of which can be sold on the black market for a profit, that will eventually lead to the illegal use of the personal information, credit card charges that will cost people and the credit card companies money, which will eventually lead to a higher interest rate and annual fee of my credit card, to help make up for the difference in the millions of dollars they are losing in having to pay for items to companies that were bought illegally all the meanwhile reimbursing the customer, and trying to increase their security system in the process.) Just like me sloey! I got both, and I think overall the ps3 offers more in usability, but connection throughout games, xbox has it hands down. Mostly with reflex! Its a flipping joke how thq setup racing online for ps3. Xbox is perfect almost. If your friend is in a public room, you can join them. Ps3, its a process! "What room you in??" "Sx dlc". Then you gotta hope for the luck of the draw! Its stupid. But I will always try to have both brands when they come out.

Sony Corp’s Executive Deputy President Kazuo Hirai is to host a news conference on Sunday regarding the security breach of the companies PlayStation Network, the Japanese electronics giant said.
Hirai will speak at 2:00 p.m. Japan time (09:00 a.m. ET) about the breach, as well as the firm’s information management system and the schedule to resume services, Sony said in a news release today.
The Japanese electronic giant warned earlier in the week that hackers had stolen names, addresses, and possibly credit card details from the 77 million user accounts from the PlayStation Network, its been down ever since.
We expect to hear what Sony intend to do to appease fans during this press conference.
So looks like we should get some info tomorrow.

I listen to a little of there press conference tonight. They moved the whole data center to a new location which they were already planing on doing. Also they said something about the servers being more robust so I guess they run better now. So maybe after all this we will getting a better running and secure online.
