i hear ya mikey. i dont expect huge things from windham. i just have high hopes that he rides like he did at new orleans. he was on fire there, just a terrible start for sure.
stewart came from just 20 points back, not 50 (2 races). he did great for sure. i hate the hell outta him, but i wont be stupid and deny that he did great. that new yamaha is great too. very tuff combo to beat next year.
rv2 and reed will both be fast next year too. rv2 will be fast on a more consistant basis then reed though. every year, reed has 3 or 4 races that he just doesnt ride comfortable. i am beting his will be towards the beginning of the year. rv2 wont have the consistancy for the title i dont think, but will threat for many races. grant will be fast too. just a notch off of the others mention above. dungey i think will be just a bit better then dungey but a bit slower then the kawi boys.

Well, you better start liking Stewart ;D I just got word today that K-Dub is going to be Stewarts new teamate, and I'm willing to put money on it! This should give 'ol K-Dub some new motivation. Also Pourcel I believe is staying with Pro Circuit, something about a "first rider refusal" and him not being allowed to leave yet?
Reed got 3rd in the Austrailian SX first round aboard his new Kawi...? Read something about him struggling with bike set up?
RV will be a factor, but not a Title factor...
Still 20 points is a long ways to come back from... I don't think ANYONE in his position would have been able to do the same.

actually, rc did it in 2002 on his first year at honda. he too dnf'd and his title rival actually won the race so he came from around 24 points back and won it by 25 or so.
kdub back to yamaha again? dam!! kinda unexpected. not hating it, just kinda....wow. lol. i understood that pourcel was a done deal? the arrangement i got was that mitch said he stays with pro circuit UNLESS he finds a 450 ride. then i thought that suzuki had signed him! whats this first rider businuss you speak of? lol

Ha, yeah I know RC did it - RC and Bubba are in a league of their own, but I was talking about last year "that I didn't think anyone could have done it" (in the 2009 SX series). Yeah, I thought Pourcel was a done deal too... our buddy in the industry said that Decoster was trying to hire him as a 450 rider, but I listened to a podcast with Decoster on Vitalmx and he said that they are not sure they are going to have the budget to hire another rider.
To my understanding, it is in his contract that when Pourcel's contract is up, that Mitch still had First Rider (offer) refusal, which means that the 1st team that comes along and offers the Frenchman a ride, ProCircuit can make it to where he can't go there (probably a contractual agreement that gives them an oportunity to re-sign a guy without a long term contract, and no added bonuses), this means that another team would have to offer Pourcel a ride, and with this economy.... it doesn't look good. BUT, Like I said, that is my understanding of it... our buddy in the industry though said to expect Pourcel back on ProCircuit and to see K-dub at Yamaha.
Did I mention J-Law gets out of Jail this December? I'm sure we will see him at A1

i think its just his option of parol. speaking of which, his prison is literally 40 minutes from me. i should go visit him huh? lol. hell, i even have a friend who is a prison guard too. bet i could sneak in a bar to bar video or two. lol.
im actually excited to see windham get off that dammed honda. i mean, they put huge efforts into there bikes for sure. im not knocking them there. but that bike had alot of problems for a feul injected model. milsaps and windham both had trouble with it. i think tedesco did a few times too. unless they fixed all the necassay crap on it for 2010, i hope to see windham on a different model.i think a change would be goos for him. its time. i always loved watching him on the suzuki. especially outdoors. he was always on it big time. i think suzuki would fit him greatly, but oh well. at this point, i just hope alot of the big guys make it back on decent machinery. i mean, tommy hahn proved that a "up to par" privateer machine can do wonders.
really excited to see a1. dungey and grant and rv2 and of course stewart and reed. its going to be wide open in the lites. like you said mikey.

i know that pourcel signed with pro circuit agan. word is austin stroupe has "signed" to be the 250z guy for suzuki. i would think that byrne would be a great pick to keep on suzuki for ryans fellow classman. i mean, he doesnt require alot of money and hes a big named dude with alot of publicity and has great results when hes healthy. that is until stewart decides to be a pushy weenie and take him out at daytona first turn. lol. just sayin....

here is a video of nico izzi on his yamaha. he looks very comfortable. i have always thought that he likes running his bars back/ down a little bit kinda like rc4 did in 2002. but when i watched this clip a few more times i finally realized what it was..... he doesnt keep his elbows as stout as most other riders. i mean, he likes to kee his elbows sorta tucked in to his body. i think thats where i getthe impression of low bars. lol. heres the clip motocross.transworld.net/news/volcom-video-nico-izzi-in-action/

I had heard that K-dub had another two years with Factory Connection... but when our friend (that is friends with Stew's Rig Driver) said that there was talk about Brooks trying to get K-dub, I just figured that it was a done deal... I don't think we will ever know all of the "behind the scenes" and who almost went where and so forth... I like K-dub on a Honda anyways. ;D

Thats what I heard but not sure. That Factory Connection was trying to buy Windham out of his deal with them and he was going to be Stewart team mate. But who knows whats going to happen.
