I know some of us don't like to talk about it, but it's a big part of motocross. CRASHES. I've had my fair share of spills over the years, and I want to hear about some of YOURS. This past Saturday, I was trail riding with a bunch of other guys. We came over a hill, and the path took a strong right turn. Well, see, I didn't know the trail took a right turn. Yeah, so I dumped to the right side and smashed into a tree so hard that my body spun around twice. All I have to show for it is some bent handlebars, crushed plastic, and a bunch of scrapes and bruises. BUT, I didn't totally waste the crash; everyone of my buddies saw it. HA! My neck is very sore and I have a 8 inch bruise on the side of my stomach. I'm thankful for my LEATT Neck Brace, as I'm pretty sure that it saved my neck, possibly my life. So, let's hear about some of your spills!

My worst dirtbike crash, I just scraped my knee… that’s about it… LoL J/k Hmm, where to begin? I guess Motocross is a competitive sport, and that reflects in your personal life… therefore I have to win all the time. So this is me winning LoL (or outdoing) I fell off a 10 plus foot ravine, in roughly 3rd gear (don’t remember exactly) because I got shot in the face with a water sprinkler ;D I landed on another dirtbike laying across a telephone pole. I… - Broke my back in 3 places. - Punctured my spleen (which had to be removed) - Ripped my colon (repaired) - Scratched my stomach (healed) - Broke my right femur bone. - Fractured my right ankle. - Broke my right big toe. - Broke both bones in my right fore arm. - Shattered a bone in my right wrist. - Shattered my ring finger bone in my right hand. The rest you can see for yourself My Titanium ;D My femur... you can see the break ;D

Thanks Sloey - yeah I had to re-learn how to walk, and use my right wrist and all of my fingers on my right hand. Still have back pains, wrist pains, and leg pains... but it's all good - if you met me today you would never know that I was in an accident unless I told you.
Speaking of Sloey: I remember when I got out of the Hospital I had to change the gas button to the R2 button so that I could set my cast on the gas button, and I would pull in the clutch (L2) if I needed to slow down. This wasn't a problem in outdoors, but I do remember that I used to get ticked off at you in SX LoL cause you always rode that dang 500! You were already fast as it was! LoL ::sigh:: good times, good times... LoL the good ol days ;D
DiRT! That belly button lint I did not know was there at the time... I wasn't supposed to be standing without my back brace yet... and I didn't want to look down! LoL Didn't know if I would mess up something. Plus when you are wearing a back brace... you can't see your belly button.
That picture reminds me of my "pudge". I went into the hospital with a flat stomach - 160 lbs, with muscle, and little body fat. When I got out of the hospital I was 127... (couldn't eat for 2 weeks) so I grabbed everything that I could eat in sight... started gaining weight back in the form of junk food... took a freakin long time to lose that "bad weight" LoL

CRAP. Dang Mike, that's horrible. Glad to hear you pretty much healed up. Yeah my recent crash wasn't my worst, but it still has a tendency to tone down my confidence a little bit. lol.

i always hated it man. sloey is like the ezra lusk of unleashed. i mean, just look at what he does to me in my videos guys!! he pushes me around like a skinny dog trying to climb a stairway!! lol. dont know if thats a good example, but my god!!! lol. jk sloey. always fun man. with everyone too. i had a crash a while back, but after mikes story, how the hell can someone tell theirs? lol. i basically landed backwards on a 30 ft step up at starwest right in front of my cousin that i went with and was literally thrown to the ground. guess i tumbled one rotation and my cuousin lands into me like pastrana did to larocco at the opener in 2003. but, i was already unconcious so i didnt notice. later, we matched some paint missing from my helmet to the front forks of his 250. yup, he hit me. lol. the more i think about it, the more i wonder if he didnt kick me as i was taking off. lol. i lost all memory of that entire day, have a permanent popping in my right hip, and seem to have lost some short term memory functions. but, maybe its for the better, i might have to beat his ass if i remembered what actually caused it. lol.

2006 - Broke my Wrist
2007 - Broken Collerbone
2008 - Broken Collerbone
2009 - Mild Concusion, Broke a couple bones in my foot.
All the stuff besides the Broken Wrist I rode on. In 2007 I broke it at the first race, And I needed to race to qulify for Walton (Its like the Lorreta Lynnes on Canada) 2008 I broke it a week before I went to MTF so it was pretty bad. After I got my concussion I stopped for 2 weeks and then went to my next race and broke a few bones in my foot in practice, I was still able to race but had to keep it in about 3rd gear the hole race.

DiRT! I feel you on the short term memory thing, I"ve lost some of my short term memory functions too, it was real bad after the accident but not as bad now, the way I think of it is it is "short term" who needs those memories anyways LoL
"I have memories of that car that I can't even remember!" -Gonefishin (movie: after guy got his car stolen. Always thought that statement was funny.)
Plus, all that matters is that I remembered how to go fast and beat you DiRT LoL JK ;D
