Here is the best information I can find from a guy who works for Rainbow, RBW Triton. I quoted him. He said this about 5 hours ago. RBW_Triton "Hang tight, should be up soon. It's a lot of work to completely overhaul the site. The guys are on it. As for the trailer, you guys are really over thinking it, maybe it just means the collision has been fixed, I don't know. Smile, more info will be rolling out explaining all of it. I can start answering a few things starting tomorrow. That's when the press will start releasing info too." I think THQ set the timer way too early. They are not ready yet, obviously.

I don't think this game looks any different than Reflex from the looks of the screen shots, then checking out the site, it is still going to have all of the same things from reflex with "enhanced" rider contact...
I think this game is just going to be a slightly beefed up "Reflex" and nothing more... hopefully they will slow down the track deterioration and fix some of the issues that should have already been fixed with a patch... but I understand, why fix issues with a game when you are trying to get people to buy a new one?
I'm still going to buy it, should be interesting to see how it turns out. Going to be a bit frustrating having to buy tracks and wait for them to come out with new ones... they say that they are supposed to release new tracks every few weeks... but history shows that they will soon forget Alive when they start developing a new game... just like they did with all the other ones. (With the exception of Unleashed)

oh, and that "video preview" was a joke in my opinion, it didn't show anything to the extent of what the actual game is going to be like... I was kinda dissapointed when I saw it on TV during A1. ;D

I like the butt patch idea, that is pretty cool. Hey Mike, they did address the track deformation it will be "more realistic" according to THQ. I am hoping that we still get to ride the two stroke bikes in Alive. I dont see one in this batch of screenshots.

Anyone else notice the lack of details put into the rider and bikes?? I mean, it all looks so basic and simple. I'm sufe the downloads will make up for that, but them tires look rediculous. On reflex they have full knobbies at least. I'm going to buy it, but I am not happy with what I see so far. Hopefully in 6 months they can smooth out things and provide much greater details. And for thq, MORE FLIPPING TRACKS! Dammit. Lol

Anyone else notice the lack of details put into the rider and bikes?? I have to agree with you Dirtman. I realize the pictures provided are pre-production pics but the graphics do look extremely dated. I wonder if they have to give up graphic detail to support the terrain deformation. I copy and pasted a pic that PumaXCS provided a while back showing graphics from the Mx vs Atv Unleashed based "Mx Sim". No offense to Mx Sim, but the two games look pretty similar: Mx SimMx vs Atv Alive

Graphics are different on PC games. My PC has a graphics card (GTX260) three times as powerful as the PS3. Puma is using two graphics cards, even better for gaming. That will get you alot more detail out of a PC. Plus the monitor I use has more pixels than a 1080p TV. Just another way to enhance all the graphics a little more.
Here is an interesting video with more information from one of the THQ designers. I think it will be cool to level up and gain XP for better bikes and parts.

Very nice! Thanks for posting that clip Tork. I like what I heard in there. Can't wait to get my hands on Alive.

Yup. Definitly brought back some entusiasm. Gaining xp for upgrades is actually a sweet idea. I just want more tracks, and if its not too much, replicas of actual tracks too. Like all the supercross ones. Hit some rythums like the pros. Should be interesting.

Here is some more information about the earlier graphics discussion. I quote admin THQ MotoX.
"Great feedback on the screenshots everyone! Please keep in mind that the game is still in Alpha and we are working hard at polishing up the graphics and environments. I can personally assure you that the game looks AMAZING on screen. Stay tuned as some killer gameplay vids will start to surface soon! They will totally put your mind at ease."

They freakin better. Lol. Lets have a lap long video guys! One lap on virtually any track would be fantastic and provide plentt for us to bench race over.
