Hey guys, our friend that works in the sx/MX industry got word that Pourcel is going to be Team Suzuki's new lites rider with Dungey being the full time 450 rider. Alessi is going back to KTM and Reed will MOST likely be on a Honda for the SX season. None of this is official, but I guess we will see what happens. ;D

As of right now, Millsaps, Tedesco, Ferry, Wey, Hill, Hepler, and a whole bunch of other riders don't have rides. I think Honda will pick up Short again. I think we are going to see a lot of stalite teams this year.

i agree to the satelite teams man. hell, thats all we are going to see outta yamaha. dam flakes. lol. jgr will be the most yamaha factory team like group out there. san manuel always got most of there stuff from yamaha. hard to say how much they are getting next year but hey, the defending champ might just get it.
i like the idea of trey canard going to suzuki instead of pourcel. purcel sounds like a really stupid move in my opinion. not cuz of talent, but because of the chemistry the team will have if he and dungey are teamed up. pourcel had some crazy words for/ to dungey after the outdoors. but hey, you never know. i also heard that reed was going to most likely be rv2's teammate at kawi. i personally dont like the idea of reed on a honda or kawi, but you gotta go where the money is when you are the top contender for challnging the champ in a championship. honda needs to drop milsaps, let him realize what he lost and that should kick him in the ass and get his head in the game. nyk wey hopefully gets to continue what hes got going. i like that team and nyk really did good all year. not podiums, but alot, alot of top tens.
short and moss would both be pretty good choices for factory honda. short with his consistant staying record, and moss cuz he works his ass off and i think he can be a podium guy once or twice. langston, hamblin and reed should all start a team. that would be awesome. lol

i agree there torkit. that dude has a lock on his throttle and it set in the FULL position. lol.
hilly, i forgot about grant. i think he will be fast again, i also think that windham will be like the windham from 2008. solidpodium contender. almost each time he was up front, he had issues. suzuki didnt want to get rid of chad reed, they just didnt have the budget for him anymore. everyones making cutbacks so they went with a proven hard worker, a fast racer, and a legitament title contender that cost less. i wouldve too. i thought tedesco did too, but it sounds like they were/ are considering dropping him. maybe they are waiting to see how the des nations go. but i wouldthink trey canard would get the opportunity to ride for mitch payton or suzuki. hes a fast rider for sure. he works hard too. but i would like to see a fast rookie get a ride. example, kyle regal on a bigtime ride. imagine seeing the #475 hauling ass around the track!! oh... thats right, there IS one already. you the man torkit!!!

Ya man, Honda needs change. Some of the Honda riders got complacent over time. I did hear Matt Lemoine is riding for satilite team Suzuki City and the Trey Canard rumors. Nico is heading to Star Racing Yamaha. Silly season rules. Gossip gossip gossip, barcia barcia barcia.

lol. barcia barcia barcia. thats hilarious man. well, looks like mike alessi has a signed deal. weird, but hes back on ktm. even more weird, hes going to do outdoors only. even more then that, hes going to ride a 350 in the 450 class. and finally, at least the ktm will have the linkage rearend. i hope the downsized cc will help him to ride it like a 250f but keep up with the fo-fiddys. it ight be a good thing. hell, ive been saying they need to reduce the cc on fourstrokes since day one. hopefully this will eentually bring back the 2- strokes. dammit suzuki, make a fuel injested 2-stroke. it will be the fastest bike alive!!!!!!

ikinda like reed on the kawi. he needs more time on it, but looks good still. kinda like stewarts position last year. im extremely pumped to see how ezra does.he has been reported to be really kicking but with training, cycling, and riding. word is hes hauling but too. for a guy to be missing since before stewart rode the big boy class, and then get back into things, then have hissurounders say that hes really moving.... thats very inspiring and man i cant wait!! i dont expect too big of things for him on his first race back, but hey, with a holeshot and staying up, he could definitly be a factor or even a winner.
i cant wait man. just soexcited.

u.s. open was some pretty lame racing, i hope this is not an indication of was is to come in the up coming sx series. sx is getting boring, we need some new faces. lusk is back, what is he like 54 or something, come on promoters. make an ole timer class for all these washed up has beens. lusk is out their for a check, so is windham, byrne and a host of other ole timers. people want to see young bucks with fire in their eyes and balls of steel that will go for a quad or make a last ditch effort at a pass. these old guys will give us no such thing, they are to scared of getting hurt and just plain out burned out on racing. i dont mean to be wining but you can just about predict every single race and that is sad.

Yeah, there is something to be said about riders who have to EARN their money, and riders that get PAID their money. Payton doesn't pay his riders very much at all, his phylosophy is that his riders have to earn the money. That is why you see riders do better when on his team, and then drop a couple of positions when on another team.
It has been a while since two of the top 3 guys have been on the same team... I predict RV pacing Reed and getting better than him... Reed deffinatly would have done better staying with Suzuki and should have stayed despite a pay cut, it is about results, not money. Reed will deffinatly have his work cut out for him, 2nd year in a row with new SX season and new bike.
Stewart is going to be a tough guy to beat this year, he came back from 2 races down (in points) just about on a bike that he was not comfortable on and still won, Reed only had something like 4 wins the whole season? On top of that, Yamaha has done their homework and it would be safe to say that they have the best bike out there. It will be interesting to see who Stew decides for a teamate.
Millsaps and Short still have another year on their contract. Townley and Tedesco are without a ride. (There are rumors of Townly racing SX or MX) Grant will be good on his JGR Yamaha, but I don't think he will be a big factor.
Dirt, it saddens me to say this, but K-Dub will be like the K-dub last year. It is Known that K-dub has not been riding or practicing. (He also has 2 more years on his contract (SX only))
Hopefully Stroupe will do better on Suzuki than he did on Pro Circut (doubtful), Dungey will do good, but lets not forget that he is a Rookie this year. There is always a learning Curve. Also Decoster said he would like to have another 450 rider in an interview, rumor has it that Pourcel will be riding a RM450Z.
Lusk has the option to race for the team that he was on at the US Open, he stated that he is not sure if he wants to race though. Pastrana also said that we might see him do another attempt at SX this year.
I find it interesting that Alessi went back to KTM, he is racing across seas, I guess he just wants a Championship. (He will cream those guys.) Should be interesting to see how he does on the 350. ;D
Also Canard has to move up to a 450 this year (due to rules and winning his first year in lites). So it will be interesting to see if he can find a ride and how he will do on the 450. (I'm predicting not so well.)
Ferry is another one of those riders that is looking for a ride. I've also heard that Langston is trying to find a ride as well.
The team manager of J-laws team said that J-law is getting out on parole in December, so that means we should see him at A1... Wey still has a ride with his team, and they might be looking for a teamate. (rumors are that it is Josh Hill)
Lites should be exciting, I don't see anything exciting from Izzi. Barcia I am sure will do good, there really isn't going to be any one "dominating" rider in the lites class this year, so it should make for a level playing field wich is always good for racing. 450 class will be stacked!
Also Stewart said that they may be bringing the same type of bracket racing that was at the US open into the SX season for added racing/fun. We'll see?
