Had to cut away room for the steering rod so it won't bend when the suspension drops. That pipe leaning on it it what I'm filling in the hole with. Cut it to length, cut it in half, and weld her up! Welding at night with wind... no bueno! Lol. She's a work in progress. Photos taken last night. The front beam (the entire suspension comes off with four bolt... for now) is in the shop. We are going to cut the center loose, twist it 3/8" to raise the ride highth, weld her up, and place it back. I am expecting to have to turn up the torsions in the back too, but I can't judge that until I get it all put together to see how it sits. I have a class 1600 race spec clutch assembly for it, but yet, have no harnesses as of yet. Just gonna run some ranchos in back until I get a job to buy upgrades. The motor I have is an 1835cc that a guy gave to me for a 18 pack of beer. It ran when he parked it, but had a knock. I have takin off every cylinder and all checked out. Main bearings seem okay, and there wasn't any obvious other then the valves were really loose on one side. That's all for now ladies. Woot woot!

You've done a hell of a job my friend! If you are interested in meeting up for the SLC Supercross, you've got a place to stay. We'll keep in touch.

Lol. Thanks sloey. Yea, this thing was in such bad shape when I got it that it was given to me for exchange of some yard waork. So, I got a bug for free basically, a motor for an 18 pack, and I have a bunch of misc. Parts from relatives n friends thus far. I haven't spent a single dime as of yet. But next week I'm hoping to buy the alternator for it. Rule of thumb on these things is to kick the generator to the curb, drop in the newer technology, and simplify the wiring harnesses. Can't wait to beat the hell outta it! Lol.

Look a build thread on MXVG. Do good Dirtman. Looking good so far. That 1800 will have plenty of torque. You know I like lots of torque.

I have returned..i tell ya what i ran about 250 miles of pre runs and this is going to 1 nasty baja..some of the new sections are asphalt/gravel before heading to the silt beds you can really open it up there..there are alot of sections now where bikes and atv's will make it and trucks won't and the locals have all ready started the BS of adding traps and such to make people crash...real intresting
