Barcia killed the B classes
Lorettas 2008 will go down in history as possibly the best year ever for New England riders. We came home with nine moto metals, two championships and eight top ten overalls. ;D
Dakota Alix put in some good motos but had some bad luck to end up 24th and 32nd overall. Kevin Carpenter put in a 38th while his brother Scott landed a 19th overall.
Consistency is the key to a good finish at Lorettas. Ryann Stacy put in a 7-16-8 moto score for an 8th overall
Marrissa Markelon had an unreal moto 1 finish when she got a 3rd and got to stand on the Lorettas podium. She had a couple rough motos to end the week and got an 11th overall. The story with Sade Allender was simply great starts. She was top 10 in every start but was not strong enough to hang onto the bike on the rough track. She would finish up the week in 19th.
Gary Lussier put in a 11th and a 19th overall in the plus classes.
The only word that came to mind when I watched Jack Camelio ride his Windham replica was "Superman!" He used his super powers to finish 31st and 15th in the 30 and 45 plus classes.
Kieth Johnson and Mike Treadwell represented the Planet Fitness team well in the 25 and 35 plus classes. Tread finished up in 5th while KJ took home two championships.
Jimmy Decotis started strong at the ranch. He went into the final moto of the B class sitting in third but had a rough last moto to end up in 8th overall and got a 20th overall in the schoolboy. also grabbed almost every holeshot!
AJ Catanzaro was simply amazing in the South. He handled the extreme pressure well when the gate dropped, and came out swinging. He had the same intensity throughout the entire race making most of his passes on the final laps. Apparently lining up next to the biggest names in the county doesnt mean anything to AJ, and at the next big race, he will be one of those big names.
I am going to continue calling Picone one of New Englands riders because he trained for Lorettas up here. He ended the week with a 4th and a 10th.
go new england!!!
