It is with great sadness that we report our beloved Jeremy Lusk passed away at approximately 11:03PM PST this evening due to complications from the crash sustained Saturday evening in Costa Rica. In his final moments Jeremy was surrounded by many loved ones, including his Mother and Father, Chuck and Gina Lusk, his wonderful wife Lauren, and many of his Mulisha Family Please keep Jeremy and his family in your thoughts and prayers. All the warm thoughts, comments and support are comforting in these times. We’ll miss you brother heres the video of his crash: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ay7XDfLcsLAshame. Rest In Piece Jeremy

gentlemen, raise your glasses to Jeremy and all other gladiators, freestyle, super cross, gncc, etc... 99.9% of them do it, not for money, but for us fans & especially that awesome feeling that comes over ya when you're in the zone and all is right in the world. i hope we can find some Solace in the fact that he was doing what loved and what we all admire him for. we should all be so lucky my friends. i salute ALL those guys that go big be it in the Xgames or intermission at the local stock car races for having the guts to do what i can only dream of doing.
I'm ashamed to admit that in recent years that i ( like many judges ) have become somewhat disinterested in some of the tricks since Travis p flipped out twice. let this be a sober reminder to us all that there is nothing " matter of fact " about backflips and 100+ ft jumps. we should give props to all riders and never again become complacent in their efforts because their lives depend on every single landing. just because they make it look easy, does not make it so. we should also pay respect by never taking our own skills or our bikes and ATVs by riding too far above our own skill set and always wear your HELMET. we who love to ride are the minority and must take that in consideration , else we run the risk of empowering all those that fight to close trails, out law 2-strokes, ban 3wheelers, ticket those with real exhaust, etc. we have too many rules to abide as it is . riding isn't a sport, hobby, or leasure activity. it is the source ( not surfing ) for our generation and those who will follow. i guess the point to all my ramblings is we all should be careful out there and ride smart. bikes aren't bad or evil but they can easily become dangerous if not given the proper respect .

It said that all are welcome to the funeral, DIRT. Anyone can come. I'll bet there will be a lot of caring riders there. I wish I could come. : (
